Our newly intrduced "Comet" mix design is rapidly gaining popularity with architects and is rivalling Portland as our most specified colour choice.

The mix was initially developed as part of the design work carried out by Manchester based architects Shepard Robson for cladding on the Academic and Energy Centres at the city's Birley Fields college campus.Given the colour and texture were well received by the client, fellow architects Fairhursts included the material in ther design for the multi storey car park on the same development. All 3 contracts are now just starting on site by main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine.

Completely independently Fielden Clegg Bradley have chosen the finish for the interal stair coverings at the University's new Arts and Design Centre under construction by Morgan Sindall. Away from Manchester we are just starting work on Crease Stricklands new Carmelite Street development in York (Miller Construction)

Finally Comet has been chosen for the new platform and concourse work at Paddington station where the material is being used at plinth level to complement GRCUK claddings in Limestone White.

As a result over the next few months it is likely one of the companies three mixing plants is going to be fully occupied manufacuring this new and apparently very popular colour.

Comet is available in a light grit blast and ground polished finish for both internal and external use. Samples are available on request from our sales office
